These two hefty bulls may look intimidating but there anything but that. Whisper's mother died when he was less than a week old so the four of us took over his care and bottle fed the hereford-cross bull calve. The next year our local fire chief had an angus bull calf he needed someone to bottle raise. When he offered him to us we excepted and raised the large-eyed calf to adult hood. Almost every spring there's a calf or two that need a little help. Through out the years we've lived on the ranch we've raised six bull calves on bottles.
Star is a three year old cross bred cow who broke her leg when running through one of our fences. Since our Grandfather was away hunting she was not shot as he proposed to do. Mallory fed her and took good care of her and Monanee spent his time with her. Her leg healed and she was fine though it healed slightly crooked. This year she had a small black bull calf.
