Angel Sprout Farms

                    Angel Sprout Farms is a small farm our family runs. We raise Dairy Goats, Swine, Poultry, Rabbits, and Sheep.  We attend various shows with our animals and we raise and sell them too. Our small farm was started eight years ago in 2000 with our first six Rhode Island Red Pullets. We raised chickens for the next two years before we started off raising rabbits with a trio of American Fuzzy Lops and a breeding pair of Black Polish rabbits.  A year after receiving our rabbits we joined 4-H and our farm expanded greatly. The same year we joined 4-H we started raising the sheep breed of Navajo Churro's. We started raising animals to sell at our local 4-H auction our second year. We were raising market steers, a market lamb, and a market hog, amongst the four of us. Our Dairy Goat project was started three years ago when we each bought a baby goat to bottle raise. We purchased a Nubian, LaMancha, Toggenburg, and Alpine.  Two years ago we bought a Hereford gilt and a Mulefoot guilt to raise as breeder hogs. In the spring of 2008 our Hereford sow farrowed eleven piglets which we raised for market though we sold some for breeding purposes also. Our family also rides horses and owns five mares and a gelding, which we ride often among the many trails of the large valley and hills surrounding us, and in the beautiful redwood forests we live by in Northern California.
